I am embarking on a new adventure in my editorial career. After more than six years at the Times-News, most of that as a section editor, I now will be working for a national trade magazine. Actually the company, Progressive Publishing, has four magazines. I will be assistant editor.
I am looking forward to this new chapter in my career, but I definitely will miss my friends at the Times-News. It was often a challenging place to work, but I feel like I learned a lot, made good friends, wrote some fine stories, and built many memories as a writer and emerging journalist. I don't have too many regrets, if any.
But, as I mentioned, I am excited about the next step in my career. I look forward to new experiences and making new friends at the magazines, as well as further advancing my career as a writer and editor.
And, I still have another book to finish up for Stackpole. The deadline, though still a few months off, is fast approaching. Already it's almost June.
More about books: Haunted Idaho -- and soon Ghosts of Idaho's Magic Valley -- is available at Costco stores in Idaho. If you haven't yet picked up a copy, now's a good time to do so because at Costco they're marked down a few dollars from regular retail outlets.
